Overview
Senior Product Owner needed to collaborate with asset managers and financial institutions, delivering key features for fund administration, accounting, and investor services platforms.
This position bridges product strategy, core fund processes, and client operations. You'll convert intricate fee calculations, incentive structures, and allocation logic into actionable product specifications for engineering teams working in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Delivery
- Establish and maintain the product vision, prioritized roadmap, and success metrics
- Facilitate Agile processes (sprints, planning, reviews, retrospectives) to deliver reliable, high-quality releases
- Lead user research, prioritization, iteration, and ongoing refinement
Domain Expertise in Funds
- Break down sophisticated incentive fee mechanisms, carried interest models, and allocation hierarchies into detailed, testable requirements and acceptance criteria
- Guarantee that calculations, reports, and workflows are precise, traceable, and fully compliant with client and regulatory standards
- Oversee complete end-to-end processes spanning fund accounting, investor onboarding/servicing, and performance/risk reporting
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with clients and operational teams to identify and rank high-value features
- Provide clear, regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones
- Assist with product launches, data migrations, and operational handovers
Experience Required
- 5+ years in product ownership/management or senior BA roles in fund operations/technology, delivering software or platform enhancements
- Deep knowledge of alternative investment fee models (e.g., private equity, hedge funds), including incentive structures and allocation methodologies
- Practical experience with fund accounting workflows, investor services, and related financial processes
- Strong track record of managing conflicting priorities from multiple stakeholders
- Degree in finance, business, technology, or equivalent field
Desirable
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or prior leadership in fund administration/operations
- Background in driving process transformation, automation projects, or operational model changes
- Familiarity with analytics tools, dashboards, or product metrics platforms
